At the end of july I went with some friends to The Hague to make a lot of captures. "The habour of Scheveningen" was one of them. After the beach we went to The Hague (Bezuidenhout) where a very special tram-semi-metro station is build, which very soon was called "De Netkous" (Fishnet Stocking).
"De Netkous" is in fact a overpass combined with two stations. The station is designed by Zwarts & Jansma Architects and is operational since 2007.
The overpass is built up of an open tubular structure, which makes an associations with the structure of a mesh sleeve-fishnet stocking. Because of this very strong construction, relatively large spans could be used, limiting the number of columns. The viaduct segments are assembled on site from prefabricated steel rings and tubes. During the construction, they used a temporary assembly hall at the track. In a special conserveringshal (composed of sea containers), the bridge parts were provided with a protective coating.
More photo's will be posted by me, but for the time beiing you have to do it with this link. :p

Congratulations as winner of the Intersecting Diagonals Challenge. Great shot! The diagonal and leading line composition really accentuate the striking fishnet architecture of intersecting diagonals. Well done, Kathy

Location
This photo was captured in The Hague (district Bezuidenhout), where they build a "tunnel", an overpass connecting two tram/semi-metro stations. It's called the "Netkous" what means something like fishnet stocking.Time
In july, late in the evening, totally dark, only the moon was very bright.Lighting
I want to make photo's as good as possible, without much post processing. So I try make very shadow part visible and every highlight not overexposed. My Nikon helps me because of its powerfull dynamic range. This capture is pure without flash, only ambient and natural ligt.Equipment
Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor 24-70 mm f/2.8G N ED on a Manfrotto 055Xprob/RC804 tripodInspiration
I was flabbergasted by this construction, never seen something like this before. I took several pictures of which I only shared this one for now on Viewbug (mayby more will follow in the future)Editing
Hardly. The usual stuff.... bit of sharpening, bit highlight protection and a tiny bit of shadow recovery. In my camera bag
That time a Nikon D7000, now-a-days also my precious D800. A tripod (the Manfrotto (very versatile), or a carbon Sirui (much lighter, only high and further not versatile at all), both rock solid but way too large :p ). Depending on where I'm going to, 1 or 2 flashes, filters (85.5 gradient), B+W ND 110, lenses range from 12mm FE to 300 mm. Some high speed lenses 35mm Sigma f/1.4 Art, Nikon 85 mm D f/1.4, 50 mm D f/1.8 (hardly in use) and less fast Nikkor 105 mm f/2.8 macro, Nikkor 24-70 mm f/2.8 G N ED, Tamron SP VC 70 -300 f/4-5.6.Feedback
Yes take care not too overexpose. I see so many pictures with a sun or a moon where the sky is totally overexposed. Captures can't be saved and many people thinks it's normal and can't be prevented.
