You got it all here. Intense Color. Clarity .. with a hint of it's flight, which makes it more challenging but cooler. Congrats on a brilliant capture.

Location
I took this photo when out in a field with work near Cambridge in the UK. My work mate was busy sowing wheat seed in a field while I was with the van weighing out more seed. The hedgerows are an immediate attraction so it was while having a good rummage that I found this ladybird. I actually lifted it on the bonnet of the van to get a few close ups and that's when it took off.Time
It was early afternoon and a warm October day.Lighting
It wasn't the best light as it was just after midday but there was a bit of cloud about. The bonnet of the van helped as the backdrop.Equipment
I used my old faithful bridge camera which is a Fuji HS10. I had a Raynox dcr250 macro lens attached to the end. No flash, no tripod just a van bonnet. The Raynox is such a great bit of equipment for the price. I never go anywhere without it.......or my HS10 too.Inspiration
I love insects and I'm constantly amazed at what is right under my nose. It would be fantastic to be able to spend my days travelling around and taking photos out and about but having a family and hectic job mean that I try to make the most of what's on my doorstep. There's a whole new world just feet away and that's what I love about insects and nature.Editing
The only post-processing was a bit of a crop and a slight straightening of the shot.In my camera bag
Being on a limited budget and only having one camera my equipment is sparce. I have a fish eye lens, a few filters and the Raynox macro lens.Feedback
The best advice would be to be patient and wait. I've found it a big help just watching insects to see exactly how they behave before taking any shots. Once you get an idea of their behaviour then it helps when preparing yourself to capture them.
