Location
This photo was taken in the filed that is right at the bottom of my garden. This is a place called Needingworth near Cambridge in the UK. I'm very lucky to have a nature reserve at the end of my garden so sometimes there's an array of different insects.Time
It was late afternoon when I took this shot.Lighting
It was quite a sunny day but the sun was low in the sky. I had to get myself down low and try different positions as to not have too much glare from the sun.Equipment
I used my trusted bridge camera which is a Fuji HS10. I had a Raynox dcr250 macro lens on the end. An absolute invaluable lens for the price.Inspiration
I love insects and the mini world that is right under my nose. If you're prepared to have a good look and get down low it's amazing what's there.Editing
The only post-processing was a bit of a crop and some exposure adjustment. In my camera bag
Being on a limited budget I don't have a great deal of a equipment. A few filters, a fish eye lens and the Raynox macro lens.Feedback
The best advise would be to be patient and observe insects for a while before taking any shots. They can be very flighty and unpredictable so a lot of waiting is to be expected.
