Gorgeous! I love the rough grain in the stone and that's what makes this shot terrific! Two thumbs up!

Location
I took this photo in Lewiston, ME during a break helping out at the Shriner's Craft Fair.Time
I took this during the mid-afternoon. I just happened to be driving by at that time, but it was good timing because of the location of the sun.Lighting
The sun was off to the front left of the building, which was great because it really added some dimension to the bricks. I've found that HDR photos like this tend to work best when there's a good balance between the highlights and the shadows.Equipment
I took this on my Nikon D4 with my 10-24 3.5 lens. I know it's a DX lens, but it still does the trick and I can still get a decent wide angle with it. The building is large as it is, but that wide angle really helped to give it a larger than life look.Inspiration
I've gone past this cathedral several times and walkways wanted to stop and get a photo. The architecture is really fantastic. The lighting that day was perfect and there were some cool looking clouds in the sky which added some additional interest.Editing
This was a 9 frame HDR. I took the RAW photos and processed them using Photomatix Pro. I then played around with the settings until I got a look I liked and ended up with this.In my camera bag
I always have my D4 with my 50 1.8 and 70-200, which is normally my go to lens. When I'm doing a larger shoot, such as a wedding, I also have my 24-70 2.8, 10-24 3.5, speed light, Phottix triggers, and extra batteries and memory cards.Feedback
It's all about the right lighting when you're trying to capture a good HDR shot. The sun was slightly off to the side here, which created a nice balance between the highlights and shadows. I had to wait until later in the afternoon, but it was worth the wait.
