So Cute! Well composed. It has a gritty feel to it, yet, the mood is still soft and peaceful.

This was an afternoon shot around 4-5pmLighting
Single light in a softbox.Equipment
Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 24-70L, Alien Bees 800 strobe, 24x36 softbox.Inspiration
This was a very impromptu shot. I was setting up some lights for a larger family portrait and this mother was comforting her baby. I turned the softbox towards her, took a step back and took the shot. They just looked so perfect at that moment, I couldn't let it slip by.Editing
This image was processed in Adobe RAW and only has a slight vignette added, minor cropping and converted to BW in Adobe Raw as well.In my camera bag
I often carry way too much but I always have my 5D Mk II, Canon 24-70L, Asahi 50mm f/1.4, 2 Canon Speedlights, radio triggers, a sturdy tripod, some 4x4 ND and graduated filters and an tethered remote for timelapse.Feedback
Pay attention to your subjects while you work. Some moments can't be planed so you must watch and read your subjects. Many of my best shots are just outside of my "planned" setting.
