Runner Up

"I like everything about this.  This is such a familiar place and yet this is an entirely different representation of it.  Capturing the familiar in a way that is unique is the goal of every photographer. The misty river flowing into the fog gives an extra surreal feeling to the image. Wonderful tonal range and composition; especially the asymmetry created by placing the waterfall off to the right.  This is further to the right than I thik we would normally place it but this works beautifully to set up a dynamic that draws you in and around the image." - Charles Lupica

Runner Up

"A really strong image and it looks like he could tell a few stories.  A well-executed example of using the Dragan Effect (or similar post processing) to add character and grit to an image." - Charles Lupica

Runner Up

"Relies more on composition than the very extensive post of many of the other images.  It is well executed and draws the viewer in, at least dog lovers.  It speaks of the essence of a Golden Retriever.  The lines pull you around the image and the subtle vignette leads you into the picture.  It provides a sense of the comfort emotion captured." - Charles Lupica
