Funny enough when I was living in MT I took it right off my deck. I lived in the middle of the woods, and I looked out and saw the most incredible light streaming through the trees.Time
Very early morning.Lighting
This light was a very special quality, and it didn't happen every day. I knew as soon as I saw the view that it would make a very nice picture, even though it usually looks much more plain than this. The light is really the main thing that makes this picture.Equipment
At the time I was using the 5d Mk ll. I'm pretty sure the lens I used was the Tamron 24-70 with image stabilization, one of my favorite lenses.Inspiration
The quality of light. :)Editing
I did all of my post processing in the latest version of Lightroom. This simply required minor adjustments only. It was really great SOOC.In my camera bag
I now shoot a Canon 5D Mk lll, a Canon 70-200 Mkll and a Tamron 24-70 with OS. For landscape photography I always bring a tripod (I don't always use it, but I like to have it if I need it) a shutter release cable, and extra cards. :)Feedback
Time of day is everything for this type of light. Be out when the light is at it's best, usually very early morning for this type of streaming light, or just before sun sets. In this case, it was early morning and I was lucky enough to live right next to this view.
