The subject I was photographing comes from a boat building family and loves of the water and boating. Being able to shoot him standing in the setting sun's light looking at a boat off in the distance seemed to capture this. The photo also has a secondary meaning of him reflecting on his families past by the reflection of the sun on the water.Editing

I think it is best to capture a silhouetted photo at the beach when the sunset is brighter versus more overcast days. I've found that shooting the silhouette from a slight distance works better.
