Behind The Lens

Location

Freedom Park in Naples, FL

Time

Photo was taken late morning.

Lighting

Photo taken with natural light.

Equipment

Nikon D3000 with a 55-200mm lens.

Inspiration

I love nature photography and Wildlife. Watching this beautiful bird cleaning and drying it's feathers a noticed that it looked like a beautiful piece of art.

Editing

I only cropped the photo otherwise no post-processing.

In my camera bag

Nikon D7100 now that I upgraded my camera from the Nikon D3000. 55-300mm lens, 18-55mm lens, and filters.

Feedback

When photographing wildlife don't be in a hurry; spend time watching the animal/bird and take photos at various times and if possible move slowly around so that you get shots from different angles and lighting. Don't use a flash because it can injury the animals eyes. Also, I think animals should be photographed in a natural lighting.
