Location
This photo is taken from the Sextener Stein at the Italian Dolomites in a cavern built in World War I with view to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.Time
We are looking to the north side of that gigantic mountains, that means, only in summer in the late day there will be sun in this side of the Tre Cime.Lighting
The sun was quite low, one of the two best times of the day for making good pictures.Equipment
I used my Sony alpha 7ii and a 24-70 mm lens, free hand.Inspiration
The Tre Cime where one of the main reasons for my journey into the Dolomites. The weather was not the best this summer, but the day I was there I found ideal conditions, some clouds and the sun shining. The landscape there is overwhelming and I spent some hours there and must go the way back to the parking place in moonlight.Editing
This was a challenge for Lightroom, the dark tones must be lightened. In such cases I appreciated the power of a RAW file.In my camera bag
My Sony alpha 7ii as the main part of equipment, a 24-70 mm lens and a 100-400 mm lens, in the mountains also a 14 mm lens. For a tripod I'm usually to lazy. This day and this time of the day I have could use it, but is was laying in my tent... But with my Sony camera I can push ISO a little up without great losses of quality.Feedback
Always looking for good light, for unusual angles, for something other don't see. And the most important point, discuss your pictures in a photo club, this is in my opinion, the best way to get better in photography.
