Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Disneyland in Anaheim, California during Christmas time.

Time

This is really one of my favorite photos from Christmas at Disneyland as all the lights were lit up and looking like snow. This was after nine at night and after the fireworks show. The castle just makes you feel like you are part of something so special.

Lighting

I wanted you to be able to only see the lights on the castle and nothing else.

Equipment

Camera: Canon EOS REBEL T1i Aperture: f/4.5 ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/20

Inspiration

I wanted to capture that moment of the castle lighting up when it got dark and shining so brightly for Christmas. It just makes you feel so good inside to see the castle like that, so magical.

Editing

Only small adjustments with brightness and contrast, but just slightly. The camera was held so still on my hands and really the lights from the castle did it all.

In my camera bag

My Canon camera and two lens, one is the 18-55mm and the other is the 75-300mm. I now have the Canon EOS Rebel T5.

Feedback

I think a tripod would have captured an even better shot, but hard to have at Disneyland.
