Have you noticed the Bird of Paradise cloud formation on the left side? Either way, a magnificent capture!

The inspiration came by the clouds. It looked like the phenix was risen. The boat on the foreground was a nice extra to put something to balance it out.Editing
This is an HDR photo made out of 9 shots. Processed in Photomatix 3 and then lightroom and Photoshop was use to give it a bit of umpf.In my camera bag

Always have a look out to the tones in the sky and foreground. Look for the details and what can be used for HDR. But be careful with the sliders. The less HDR look it has the better the picture becomes. Go out scouting for some nice spots. Take a compass and remember the times of rise and set of the sun. Learn to read the sky. The more high clouds there are the more red it will be. But 1 cloud on the horizon can ruin the picture. A bit of luck you need.
