Location
This photo was taken in the small studio in the basement of my house.Time
The shoot was taken on a Sunday afternoon. We took the opportunity to do a few different poses with the chair concept vintage style.Lighting
I had to be careful for the lighting reflecting on the hair dryer. Made different tests. Finally, I opted to use two flashes.Equipment
This photo was taken with my Nikon D800 using my 24-70 Nikon lens. and two flashes and a reflector.Inspiration
One Saturday afternoon, I was visiting a flea market and saw this vintage barber chair. I immediately fell in love with the idea of using it for a photoshoot. I shared a picture of the barber chair with my model, as soon as she saw the photo, she immediately wanted to participate and worked on her side to have a make-up and a hairstyle adapting to the era of the chair.Editing
Yes, I did postproduction using lightroom first and then Photoshop working to get that vintage touch. In my camera bag
Obviously my camera, I have a Nikon Z6. My favorite lens is my nikon 85mm and then most of the time my 50mm lens and my 24-70. I occasionally add my 85mm and a 6mm fish-eye. Also, my batteries and my cleaning products. I often bring with me a second bag in which I will have my Godox AD200 flash and various accessories depending on what I am going to do.Feedback
In order to succeed in this style of photos, it is important to find the accessories and clothes that will go with the desired feeling you want pictured. Having the model that can also embody the chosen style is very important. Ensure that there will be a bond between the model and the photographer.
