Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Athens Riviera Greece.

Time

It was at the end of the sunset.

Lighting

I backlight the couple with a strobe flash. I put the flash back and below the couple hidden behind the bridal drees.

Equipment

A Nikon D3 camera with a 24-70 2,8 Nikon lens. The flash was an Elinchrom Quadra 400.

Inspiration

The couple at the reception of their wedding they dance a very romantic tango with some wonderful dancing figures. One of them was similar to the pose of the photo. So their dance gave me the idea of this pose. A romantic pose in a beautiful place and romantic time of the day.

Editing

I open the shadows a little in Photoshop. I did a little of dodge and burn and sharpening.

In my camera bag

I have to cameras in my bag. The Sony A7ii and the Nikon D810 with a variety of lenses, like Nikon 24-70mm f/2,8, Sony 70-200mm f/4, 24-240mm /3.5-6.3, etc.

Feedback

I think the best advice for every photographer is to study the masters of photography and be inspired by them. Also, some cinema movies and photography magazines are very helpful. Of course, practice is a major thing in photography and we must, all the photographers, practice our skills again and again.
