Behind The Lens

Location

We were snowed in while in Missouri. My daughter and I decided to play with my camera so I threw my jacket on her. I stood on the porch while she looked up at me.

Time

Probably the wrong time of day to take pictures since this was when I just started.

Lighting

It was completely natural lighting. I honestly didn’t expect this to turn out as well as it did. It’s amazing what can happen when your just playing around.

Equipment

Canon rebel T7i. Lens was probably the 18-55mm kit lens. This was my first gear!

Inspiration

I was absolutely bored and wanted to practice.

Editing

I cropped it to just get her face. I adjust the contrast some and color. Not a lot really.

In my camera bag

Now I carry a canon 6d Mark ii and i always have my 24-105mm lens.

Feedback

Honestly, just play around and have fun. This was never meant to be a serious session and I never expected anything shareable to come out of it. I often have to remind myself not to take things so serious and just have fun. Most of my best work has happened then!
