You have to crawl over a lot of sharp rocks and boulders and tidal pools, photo equipment in hand, to catch this vision of the sun setting over the Atlantic Ocean behind the cliff where Bass Harbor Lighthouse sits.
I'm in Acadia National Park which is just about as far east and north as you can go and still be in the Lower 48 of the United States. This time of year, you'll be joining about a million of your closest friends, too, all trying to see the beauty of Acadia. So it's a challenge not to come home with pictures of people you don't know who've walked into your picture. No problem - they're just as welcome there as I am (really???). You just have to learn how to use the Lasso tool in Photoshop to disappear them :)

WOW! Perfect shot and perfect POV! It looks so calm and peaceful. Yes, I could live there quite nicely.

It might be a little warmer than where you live....but only because of the ocean. Again, I was down in the rocks, perched precariously on those sharp, ass-cutting rocks.

How beautiful - didn't realize it is that immensely popular ?? I imagine getting a room anywhere near there would be very expensive and you'd have to reserve far ahead of time ?

The warm season is short and it's a tourist town (Bar Harbor), so yep, expensive and reservations necessary. There were a LOT of people!

Well, thank you, ma'am! Most challenge admins never notify winners, I've noticed. So you're the best! Thanks for the opportunity!
