i took this photo on a shoot in mayfair London.Time
i love this picture, my portfolio is building up nicely, but i didn't have any boudoir, and with an ever increasing demand for this style of shoot i thought id give it a go, i can remember looking down on the passing London buses and thinking how different it is where i was to the hustle and bustle of the London streets below.Lighting
we moved the settee in front of the window as the room was very orange with the lighting not being the best, using a sigma art 35mm lens i was able to get a wide enough angle to capture the shot , along with the black lingerie and natural light , this made for a perfect black and white image.Equipment
i used canon 5d mkiii along with a sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens. no other equipment was used.Inspiration
i wanted to test my artistic ability, to see what i can do behind the camera, and as i said previously, the ever increasing demand for this kind of shoot, along with the images i see on viewbug which are amazing, to be recognised along side some of the best photographers across the globe is just awesome.Editing
i always shoot raw so post processing is required ,but in the case of this photo i did very little, i converted to black and white and adjusted various sliders to get the look i wanted in lightroom. In my camera bag
i have a 5dmkiii, a 6d, sigma lenses 85mm 1.4 art, 35mm1.4 art, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, canon 100mm macro, sigma 300mm 2.8, yongnuo strobes x3 and a battery powered portable studio strobe. it depends on the shoot and location to what kit i take with me.Feedback
if you can , try and work with an experienced model ,so that they can help you get the best images possible, sign up for a course in this style of shoot, have a look at what others are doing and see if you can add a twist , what would you do different, but the main thing is give it a go.
