Location
This was taken on a rockface above the village of Bolonia, near Tarifa, in southern Spain. We were actually looking for a way up to a cave known to contain rock paintings. But our way was blocked by a large web. And this creature. At face level.Time
Late afternoon.Lighting
Just natural sunlight.Equipment
Fujifilm X-T10, 18-135mm @ 135mm. Nothing else.Inspiration
Shock! He was blocking our path and we never made it to the cave. So I guess this was some sort of consolation.Editing
Nothing more than a little cropping and contrast enhancement. In my camera bag
Depends on where I am and what I'm doing. Travelling, it's probably the Fujifilm X-T10 with the 18-135mm in a very small bag with spare batteries and cards. I might also have a 50-230mm with me if I'm off into the countryside with a bigger bag, and perhaps a 27mm pancake if I'm planning on some street shots. If I'm at home, I may add an X-T1 body so that I don't have to keep changing lenses. And in particular circumstances I'll add a fisheye. For macro shots and windsurfing/kiting shots, I'll use a Nikon D300 with a 105mm macro lens or a 150-500mm super zoom. All goes in different bags with additional equipment.Feedback
