Behind The Lens

Location

At Stokksnes in Iceland. There's a long beach, where the water doesn't flow back to the ocean fast, which creates great possibilities for reflection photography.

Time

During night, when the sun is down and you can see the northern lights.

Lighting

Northern lights is pretty important ;)

Equipment

Canon 5Dm2 and Sigma 20mm f/1.4 Art

Inspiration

I was inspired by the photographer Michael Shainblum who've made a similar picture.

Editing

I used a few luminosity masks to bring out the highlights a bit more.

In my camera bag

Sigma 20mm f/1.4, Canon 16-35mm f/4, Canon 70-200mm f/2,8 I and a Canon FF. I've used both 5Dm3, m2 and now I have a 5Ds

Feedback

Watch out for the waves. It's dark and you don't want your camera getting flushed ;)
