Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the West Palm Beach Zoo, in west palm beach Florida. I'm self though amateur photographer.

Time

this was taken in the morning at the zoo, it was a hot rainy day here, so i was lucky to capture it, 20 mins after taking this photo it started raining, for the rest of the day

Lighting

this bird kept jumping around, every time i kept trying to take a photo, so i had to use a fast shutter speed with a 5.6 aperture to be able to capture it in the few seconds it stood still

Equipment

i used a 75-300 zoom cannon lens on my Canon rebel EOS T5

Inspiration

My inspiration for this photo was the birds behavior, he was a hard to capture, as well the different colors it had, the red around the eye and the metallic green on its wings, and the different contrast, made me feel like it would be a great capture.

Editing

i didn't do any post processing for this capture, i felt this colors deserve its true beauty.

In my camera bag

in my bag, i have a tripod, a shutter release, as well as an additional lens, i have a 18-55 mm(macro) and a 75-300 zoom lense. looking forward to getting a couple more sown the line.

Feedback

MY suggestion is patience, this bird kept jumping around, so i had to keep following him to get this one shot, i took a lot, prob about 15-20 just to get this photo but it was well worth it.
