Location
This image was taken in Expo Park, Hannover, Germany. I am very particular with choice of location and as it turns out to the first time I was taking any image at this location. I would like to give the credit to Tobias Glawe for choice of location. Very interesting location and would like to get back there again.Time
This turns out to my most favourite image; it is the most liked on my 500px profile. Taking the shoot during the golden hour surly made the difference. You wan to make sure you have your light (Sun) at and angle that gives your subject dimension and that was exactly what I did. You can see soft shadow casted on her nose.Lighting
Lighting condition I think was perfect, it rained a few hours before the shoot, very nice soft sunset lighting condition. I use reflectors whenever I have the opportunity to shoot natural light. Natural light is great if you know how to manage it. A soft sunset light with a reflector did the magic .Equipment
This is a hand held shoot made at ISO 100, F2.0, I/5000sec. I used Canon 5DMKII with 85mm F1.2.Inspiration
I love portrait and was immediately drawn to the work of Tobias Glawe. There lots of other artiest out there who keeps me thinking each day about their creativity. I simply want create exceptional images and this is just a start of my journey. I am a lifestyle photographer (hobby), I am not a professional photographer (Using the work professional, I mean I don’t make a living out of photography). I am my motivation; giving myself an opportunity to do something that pleases me is such a great exercise.Editing
I start my post production from Adobe Lightroom and end up in Adobe photoshop. Obtaining the adobe certified associate gave me a bit of foundation into the use of photoshop. Most people don’t have, for me it give me the opportunity to appreciate thought process in creating a realistic image during post production. I think it is not very nice to end post production in Photoshop because you end up loosing some meta data as I have seen in a number of my photos and I might be doing the wrong thing ?. Am still not able to create videos of my post production process and do hope to do that someday. In my camera bag
I don’t have so much in my camera bag, however I always follow a basic step process to prepare for any photo. A day before, I check I have my batteries fully charged. I seem to have spares for everything (Batteries, Memory stick, Lenses (24-70 f.28, 85mm f1.2, 100 mm f.12) except by Camera, I have just a 5D MK III in my bag. People tell me it is not good to have just one camera , however I think I can manage one for now pending when we have 5D MKIV ? . I usually make a decision on what lens to use before the shoot.Feedback
To create a exact image is impossible because there are too many uncontrolled variables to consider. One thing that is possible here is to recreate the time of shoot. Look out for golden hour. Rule of 3rd! Composition ! and have fun.
