This is a B&W photograph of the pink house near Plum Island, MA. Here is a link to the back story of the Pink House: http:--www.nytimes.com-2015-12-13-fashion-plum-islands-pink-house-inspires-a-real-estate-fantasy.html I guess it should be called the "spite house" as it was built as the result of a divorce gone very wrong.

Location
This photo was shot in Newbury, Massachusetts on the road to Plum Island.Time
I drove by this house every day to and from work when I lived on Plum Island. I had just bought a new Canon Rebel 2 T2i for my daughter and was making sure it worked. It was taken at 6:15 PM with a bit of a storm moving in.Lighting
It was in May at 6:15 P so the sun was beginning to set and the light was at a nice low angle and starting to warm up.Equipment
I used my daughter's new Canon EOS Rebel T2i witha 18-55mm kit lens.Inspiration
I drove by this house every day to and from work. I have taken many shots of the pink house and over that time came to like this angle the best. Here is a link to the back story of the Pink House: http://rick-mosher.pixels.com/featured/the-pink-house-color-rick-mosher.html I guess it really should be called the "spite house" as it was built as the result of a divorce gone badly wrong.Editing
This is a single image HDR processed in Photoshop and Lightroom. In my camera bag
I normally shoot with Nikon equipment but just happened to be trying out my daughters' Canon on this day.Feedback
Shoot a lot of images of what you know is a great subject on different days with different lighting until you get to know what looks best to you.
