This photo was taken at Sandbridge, VA. I love the beach atmosphere and the freedom it gives. I live in Virginia Beach and this is one of my favorite places.Time
It was a taken around 5:56 pm. It was end of summer, a little bit of wind and the light was so soft. We had the beach practically just for us which was great because It was the first time I photographed her so too much people around wouldn't be the best. It was the beginning of a wonderful friendship and partnership (model/photographer)Lighting
That day was cloudy and somehow was perfect because the light is filtered through the clouds and gives the softness we were looking for. Under the pier made her skin tone pop giving a beautiful contrast.Equipment
It was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i with a EF28-135mm lens. It was my first professional camera.Inspiration
The sense of freedom that belongs inside all of us. Life would be so much richer if we could just embrace the challenges and don't be afraid of making mistakes. What inspired me was the braveness of of the one who offer your hand and let the life come in. Pure and simple. The good, the bad and the ugly. That sensation of not looking behind. Living, learning and growing.Editing
Yes, I shoot this session in jpeg although now I just photograph in raw format that I think is much better. As it was a cloudy day I needed to light up a little bit anyways to reach a better contrast. I use Lightroom for my processingIn my camera bag
A Canon 6D body and 28-135mm lens and a 50mm are the ones I use the most. I try to make the most with what I have. I also have 2 old film cameras for personal use only. A Pentax K100 and a Canon EOS ELAN 7NE that sweetly named it Martha and Frank.Feedback
I believe that the more natural the better. While I'm photographing somebody I love to talk about random things of life. It helps me a lot to break the silence and share. Get to know a little bit that person and feel what she can offer me. Absorb the emotions that comes through that. It's all about the mood and personality that each one has and it's unique. The capture of a true expression happens when you can extract from that person a little bit of her soul.
