Outstanding shot and gallery. I'm a big fan of waterfalls as well. If you'd like to check it out I have a waterfalls album in my gallery.

Location
This photo is taken in West Virginia at the Mill Creek. We had a wonderful perfect day to do the creek hunting. The overnight rains added the increased water levels in the stream, and saturated colors of the fall foliage. With couple of falls on very slippery rocks, managed to get this photo with the swirly leaves in water, and the small bush behind it.Time
In the morning time, but we had cloudy day.Lighting
The long 15 seconds exposure with 2 stop ND filter gave me the swirls. The cloudy days are known to be perfect to shoot the water falls and streams.Equipment
Nikon D800 camera, with Nikkor 14-24 lens on 20 mm focal length. The tripod was used with the release cabel and 2 stop ND filter. Shot in RAW.Inspiration
Just the whole scene and the saturated colors of the fall foliage was such a beautiful to capture. The challange was to get the foreground on those extremely slippery rock, but made it wityhout much injury.Editing
I use Lightroom mainly for the main processing, and Photoshop if any fine tune processing is needed. For this photo, main adjustment was with the white balance, and curve adjustment. Not much needed. In my camera bag
My camera, D800, Nikkor 14-24, Nikkor 24-70 and Nikkor 28-300 lenses for the landscape photo shoot. Circular Polarizer, and Solid ND filters. Release cabel, tripod, extra batteries, lens cloth, and cheal shower cap to cover if rain happens. I've F-Stop Loka Photo backpack.Feedback
Look for the weather forecast. Use tripod, release cabel, and make sure to get the right exposure. Watch for those very slippery rocks. Bare feet works better once you are in the creek.
