Amazing details and colors! Great capture, congratulations! May I ask you what lens did you use? A macro one?

Fantastic photograph. Did you use focus stacking, or how else did you manage to get a depth of field beyond say 1mm?

Nope no stacking on this one. That's just the focus I got standing over the flower. I manually focused my lens to where I liked it focusing mailing on the center

Location
This photo was taken in Winnipeg MB, in my garden.Time
this was taken take afternoon between 2 & 4 pm.Lighting
It was a bright sunny day. Not a cloud in site. I actually used my shadow to bring down the brightness. It was quite blinding that dayEquipment
It was shot with a Nikon D7000 and macro lens 105mm. No other equipment was used the shot was done hand held.Inspiration
I love gardens and plant a large variety in my own garden. This guy popped up that morning and I loved its bright colours.Editing
Not a whole lot was done to this photo in processing. I saturated and sharpen the image to make it pop a bit more. But no overlaying was done. I did up the contrast as well.In my camera bag
Always have a standard lens, macro, and a wide angle with me. An extra fully charged battery. Memory cards for days! And my cameras rain coat, beside in Winnipeg the weather changes all the time.Feedback
Take your time. Wind can be very annoying in such a small subject and cause a lot of noise in your photo. So just wait for the opportune time.
