Location
This photo was taken from an overpass of the 101 FWY in Hollywood, CA.Time
Taken during evening rush hour traffic in the winter months.Lighting
I was taking shots with longer exposures, something I do a lot of in my Photos. Just shooting various increments of exposure.Equipment
I used a tripod and shutter release. counting seconds in my head for exposure time.Inspiration
As I was watching I saw that the cars would roll forward and sometimes one would wait before pulling forward. I got lucky that the truck waited so long and that all the other traffic was flowing. Right place right time and shooting. When I saw the image I was happy to see so much movement and to see that it felt as if the truck was stalled out.Editing
I did a little color correction for temperature and some sharpening. In my camera bag
I always have some ND filters as well as a small tripod.I carry a medium zoom and a longer zoom.Feedback
try different time exposures. don't be afraid to experiment with filters for longer exposures.
