Location
This image was captured at my parent's farm in the beautiful Niagara Region in Ontario, Canada.Time
I was just messing around with my camera (it was my first day with my new Canon Mark III!!!!!). So I was literally taking pictures of everything and everyone on the farm. This image was taken at sunset. I got down to the level of the grasses and thistles and just started snapping away. I didn't have my tripod or flash, just my camera and imagination!Lighting
The time of day was key in this photo! It was sunset and I was losing light quickly. I guess I was just i the right pace at the right time and things just seemed to work out!Equipment
This was a simple image in terms of equipment. I hand held my Canon Mark III with the Canon 24-105mm lens attached. That's it nothing fancy, just me and my camera!Inspiration
There wasn't so much inspiration with this photo, but more excitement. Like I said this was my first day with my new camera and I was loving the upgrade. I think I took about 500 photos that day... (let's be real it was probably more)Editing
I did do slight adjustments in post production. Mainly I adjusted the saturation to bring out more of the oranges and blues. I also played around with the contrast, just a bit though...In my camera bag
My equipment consists of my camera bag (obviously), my camera (Canon 5D Mark III), a 24-205mm lens (Canon), 17-40mm wide angle lens (Canon as well), a manfrotto tripod. With my old camera, which was a crop sensor not full frame, I had a lot more lenses (telephoto, macro, fisheye, standard zoom). I am currently saving up for a telephoto macro lens! I can't wait!!Feedback
My advise for others would be to just get out there and capture images! This photo was never intended to even be edited let alone posted online, yet I have received so much positive feedback from it! You never know when you will capture something amazing so always be prepared. Also don't be afraid or embarrassed to take pictures!
