Box canyon falls in Ouray ColoradoTime
Around 4 or 5 pmLighting
The sun was going down with some excellent reflected light from the terrain outside of the fallsEquipment
I used my D810 Nikon with the Tamron 15-30 f2.8 lens.Inspiration
I love the falls and I need little encouragement to shoot the canyon cut out by the water.Editing
Very little post production was done. I used paint shop pro and only used fade correction along with some vibrancy elevation. In my camera bag
D810 Nikon camera with Nikon lenses 28-300 zoom working lens, 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 70-200 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 15-30 f2.8 Tamron and a new macro lens. I also carry plenty of batteries, water and supplies to keep me going during a long day of shooting.Feedback
Look at your environment and put yourself in the best place to take the shot you want. I walked into the water up to my knees so I could shoot this picture. It was cold and slippery with a fair amount of risk to myself and my camera. I wasn't alone so I had someone to get help just in case I needed it.
