As I was leaving my photo session at Horseshoe Bend, ai turned around and happened to see this girl standing on top of some rocks making a great silhouette against the beautiful sunset I had just been shooting... I imagine she was posing for somebody else but I saw nobody else shooting her... I had my tokina 11-16 mm ultrawide lens on so I had to scramble fast to remove it and slap on my Sigma 70-200... I managed to swap lenses fast enough to get several shots of her standing on said rocks, and this is one of them.
I call this shot Navajo Lands, because A) it is in fact Navajo Land, and B) because my entire three days down near Page Arizona were just magical.. I was listening to a lot of mellow music that really fit the desert scenes I was shooting and had me "in the zone"...
