Location
This photo was taken under Newport Beach Pier in California.Time
I usually follow the rules of sunrise and sunset for landscape photo's. I just happened to have my gear with me this day and went down to the pier and noticed the sun was almost directly above the pier. I took the picture around 1pm during the day.Lighting
I didn't know how the photo was going to turn out because it was very bright outside. I took at least 30 photos trying to get the correct exposure.Equipment
I typically use a canon 5D mark lll. In this photo I used my 6D with a 10 stop along with a 2 stop on my lens. I also use a remote to reduce any moment during my long exposure photos.Inspiration
The thing that expired me to take this photo was how blue it was that day. I figured that if I can get the right exposure it would turn out.Editing
I did not edit this photo. I typically try to use my Lee filters other than the computer to edit. I try to use my photos on how I want to see things. In my camera bag
My equipment is all canon. My cameras are a 5D Mark lll and 6D. I have roughly 8 lenses that I use. They are all the L series by Canon. I typically carry 2 remotes, 1 programable and the other just a button. I do carry a couple of flashes which I haven't used other than my macro flash.Feedback
Patience! Photography is a pain. The biggest thing Ive learned is try and watch the weather reports and when the moment is right go to your spot where you can get the picture you like.
