This is a metro station in Santiago Chile. All the stations were spotless and had wonderful artwork.

This must have required a lot of setup and lighting to get. How did you do this?

Location
I took this photograph in Santiago, Chile's metro. The stations were mini-museums. There were large oil paintings at one station and beautiful sculptures at another. Many stations had different styles at different points in the same satiation. Some had paintings in the entrance areas and sculptures on the platforms. Some were modern and abstract, others were native Chilean art and still others were very traditional. I was attempting to photograph the art work on the opposite platform when this train pulled into the station. I quickly took a series of shots of the moving train and this one was the best of the group.Time
This was taken in the early afternoon, but since it was on the metro and thus underground, it could have been taken at any time of day.Lighting
There was no artificial light involved in making this image. I did increase the ISO to 1600.Equipment
Canon 40D. Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens Lens HoodInspiration
I use the Metro in Washington, DC (My hometown!) quite often and I wanted to document a comparative view of another city's Metro stations. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing art work in every station but truly overwhelmed by both the metro's cleanliness and the polite demeaned of the metro riders!Editing
I used Photoshop CC and NIK filters. In my camera bag
I currently have a Canon 7D with an Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Ultra Wide Angle Zoom Lens. I also carry a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens and a Tamron AF 60mm f/2.0 SP DI II LD IF 1:1 Macro Lens. I also carry a Hoodman HoodLoupe Optical Viewfinder for sunny days. An iPad. A Gorilla tripod. A pad and pen for notes and sketches of images I have taken or are planning to take. Several power bars. A Leatherman - for a number of miscellaneous duties and some duct tape wrapped on a pencil.Feedback
Make sure that your camera is held rock solid and the speed is slow enough to capture the image in a low light situation like a Metro station. Use a sufficiently high enough ISO to allow for the image to be made with a reasonable speed and aperture. Many times a tripod is either not permitted or not feasable. You MUST learn to stabilize your camera!!!
