Afternoon.Lighting
Afternoon is usually a bad time to shoot, what wit a the harsh shadows, especially on a summer day like the one i took this photo on- but with something as sleek and bold as a fighter jet, that can sometimes be a good thing!Equipment
Nikon D90, Nikon 18-135 f.3.5-5.6 lens. Wrist strap for support.Inspiration
The highlight of my summers in seattle as a kid were always watching the blue angels fly. As i got into photography, i wondered how i could ever have passed up on capturing such intensely visual experience with my camera! So One sunday during seafair, the event which the blue angels star in, I got on my bike and rode down to the beach, where the airshow is best watched from. With my measly all in one kit zoom lens, i did feel a little discouraged when i saw all the pro gear people had brought to capture the show. But i had the advantage of mobility, so as soon as i shot from one place, i ran and went to another, something i didn't see any of the pros doing.Editing
Just some contrast and clarity touch ups in lightroom. In my camera bag
Nikon D90, 50mm f1.8, tamron 18-270, polarizers, gary fong lightsphere, wrist strap, maybe a flash.Feedback
Learn how to pan. There is a wealth of info online on how to do it. Do your research on Auto-Focus modes. Dont let your equipment limit you. A camera is like a paintbrush. You are the real equipment.
