Bij de Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt wordt het Nederlands muntgeld (tegenwoordige Nederlandse Euro's) geslagen.

In April 2020 verhuisde De Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt van het monumentale pand aan de Leidse Gracht in Utrecht naar Houten. Het gebouw is in de gouden kleur van Euromunten en doet denken aan een goudstaaf. Het is door het Belgische architenbureau Wastiau & co ontworpen.
Anders dan je verwacht op de foto, bestaat het gebouw maar uit één kleur geel. Door het aanbrengen van "latjes in verschillende richtingen onstaat een spel van schaduw en reflecties waardoor de vlakke muur tot leven komt en lijkt alsof het opgebouwd is uit niet vlakke elementen. Het grappige is dat de vlakken die overdag (namiddag) donker zijn, in de nacht met de verlichting juist licht zijn (licht komt van de andere kant).

Dank je. Ga nog een keertje terug, bij nader inzien vind ik geen enkele foto in het donker goed (met die felle verlichting). Ik denk dat ik daar voor de eerste keer van mijn leven met HDR aan de slag ga.
