Behind The Lens

Location

I had an impromptu shoot to test some new lights and I’m this is one of the photos from that shoot

Time

I took this at night in a studio

Lighting

I had just bought some new lights and a beauty dish, and I had not had a chance to use them yet, so I was experimenting with the setup and this was one of the photos that I absolutely love from the shoot

Equipment

I used a canon 650D with a 50mm lens. 1 Godox 500w light with a beauty dish

Inspiration

I had just bought new lights and a beauty dish and I had seen some beautiful examples of lighting online and I wanted to experiment to get some similar results

Editing

I only converted the photo to black and white using camera RAW in photoshop and adjust the contrast and levels... no other post processing was done

In my camera bag

I usually have my 659D and a spare M100 with a kit lens...for the 650D I have a 50mm lens and a 250mm telephoto lens

Feedback

Try use a dark background and position the light to the side of the model. Keep pushing the light further back or forward until you have achieved the result you were looking to get
