The huge inland valley between Sierraville and Portola, California that used to be an inland sea eons ago, is home to an infinite number and variety of hawks and other raptors. Because of the wide variety of hawks and falcons known to inhabit this area, we are having trouble accurately identifying this one...anyone have an idea what it could be? (Ferruginous? Prairie? Sharp-shinned? Coopers?) We don't believe it's a red-tail.
