This photo was taken at the Fell and Fair shop in Anderson, SC.Time
This was taken in the early evening after a long day working in the shop. We were all exhausted from several hours fight choreography and combat training and were hanging out in the office playing cards. Veronica was sitting across from me, warming her hands with the candle in front of her.Lighting
This was a spur of the moment shot. There were no fancy lights besides the overhead shop lights and the candle that Veronica was using to warm her hands.Equipment
I was using my trusty Nikon D7000 with a fixed 50mm lens. The camera was resting on the table in front of me.Inspiration
We were hanging out in the office, playing cards, after a long day working in the Fell and Fair shop. Veronica was sitting across from me, warming her hands around the candle and I was playing around with my camera. It was something that just happened with no planning. I enjoy this image because it reveals a side of Veronica that many people in our community don't get to see. She loves this photo because it shows her "peasant hands"Editing
I did minimal editing through Photoshop, mostly adjusting lighting and cropping. In my camera bag
I tend to just carry around my camera (Nikon D7000) with a fixed 50mm lens wherever I go. If I know that I'm gonna be taking photos, I may bring a couple other lenses (18-70mm and a 70-300mm) and a small tripod. I sometimes have a waterproof point-and-shoot camera and a GoPro with me on various adventures.Feedback
