An early start 5:30 a.m. Drive up to the northern part of the island. Very dark and a rocky road (path) to reach the chosen place. Only other beings around were a few keen fishermen. Disappointing morning as regards weather, poured with rain just after the shoot. never mind a good photographic experience.

Location
This photo was taken in the north of the Island of Eivissa in the archipelago of the Balearics. The nearest town is called Portinatx.Time
An early start at 5:30 a.m. was necessary to arrive before sun up.Lighting
This shot was taken just before sunrise, later took some warmer shots. However, I like this cold capture as it is different from most photos of this location.Equipment
My camera is a Canon EOS 5 D mark 3, tripod long exposure and patience.Inspiration
Just love the rock formations and what with erosion these won't be around forever, so photographers are obliged to capture things for posterity.Editing
Always check my work in Lightroom but try not to over adjust and clean up in photoshop. In my camera bag
Apart from the camera and tripod, I carry a set of density filters (just in case) a torch, different lenses wide angle and a 70-200mm.Feedback
Sometimes a trip out is not successful. I like to think of it as experience but when things gel it is wonderful and make it all worthwhile.
