was visiting a small town in Northern Manitoba to take pictures of a location that I had been trying to capture for sometime. While at that spot I noticed an airplane in the distance. It was calling my name like crazy, so I went over and checked it out. Of course I couldn’t stand there staring at it without feeling a picture was there.
I had planned to come back the following morning, as I wanted to evoke the feeling you would get if you were sipping your early morning coffee looking out your cabin window and down your dock at your awaiting plane.

I loved the way the subtle hues gently lit the plane and slowly brought it out of the darkness. It makes you feel like you are walking down the dock towards your waiting plane, for a breathtaking flight.Equipment
Sirui Tripod, Canon 5D Mark III, 24-105mm f/4, Formatt-Hitech 2 stop rev grad filter.Inspiration
I was actuallly over taking a photo from a different location, when out of the corner of my eye I saw this float plane sitting here. I knew I needed to check it out, and as soon as I got close I could tell that there was a wicked picture here. I came back the following two mornings in search of the perfect conditions.Editing

Patience & Persistence. Things don’t always happen the way you want the first time, but with a certain degree of patience, and a ton of persistence you will be rewarded. Always try to tell a story with your image.
