Taken at Gull Lake, Minnesota, USA. On the right side of this photo there is a little band of Milky showed up.
During the 1989 geomagnetic storm, the northern lights could be seen as far south as Florida and Cuba. (Canada geographic.ca) However due to climate change it could barely seen in Minnesota, USA anymore.

The stars are twinkling and very bright, the barn is fabulous, the northern lights are just phenomenal ang the light-painting is unconventional. Congratulations on this capture. Great thinking and ideas and also execution.

I took the photo in Gull Lake, Minnesota, USA.Time
I took the photo around 9:09:40 PM. However I went to the area on twilight.Lighting
After few hours when i look at takes in my camera I saw that I captured a little of the Northern Lights. It was so interesting because I saw a little of the milky. Actually I was doing light painting too with my flashlight. However the owner of the Barn put one light outside so I capture a little of the lights coming from the hot bulb.Equipment
I used my Manfrotto Tripod 190XPROB, canon EOS 1DX, Canon EF16-35 f/2.8L II USM, Canon Trigger Release TC-80N3, bean bagInspiration
I look at the barn it is so beautiful, the aged barn tells a lot of story. Even the family left this alone standing near Gull Lake I can tell that they love the memories they have in that barn. I love astrophotography, i love the Northern Lights and the stars. These are the reasons why I took the photo.Editing
This photo is single exposure. Although I applied noise reduction, I added a little of saturation, and sharpened it in photoshop. In my camera bag
I usually bring with me my 3 canon cameras and with the canon lenses in each of the camera. I usually have pre planning so I know the lenses I will be using and of course to avoid dust I usually put each lens in each camera at home. When it is night shooting, I really use tripod, and some flashlights for my light painting. I see to it that I have the lens cloth and some air spray to get rid of the dust after shooting.Feedback
When you want to capture astrophotography. Pre-plan your shooting. have list on the things needed to the shoots. See to it that you fully charge the battery you are using. Colder temperature can easily consume your battery life. Add weight to your tripod, sometimes wind can knock your tripod down. When you set up your camera to get the focus is you need to focus it to the brightest star in the sky so you will have more sharp capture. Connect your cable release, then start to capture the moment. Have a good time and enjoy the moment!
