This bridge has been replaced, the funny thing is the new one doesn't photograph like this one, that is lost in history connected KY to IND

Behind The Lens

Location

This bridge connected Indiana to Kentucky at Madisson Indiana. It was very narrow and was replaced a few years ago. Unfortunately the new bridge is not good for this type of shot.

Time

It was about 9:00pm when I started.

Lighting

I used a study tripod and a remote release to allow for the time exposure.

Equipment

This photo was when I first was switching over to digital. I believe at the time of this shot I used the Canon XD No flash and an off brand steel tripod.

Inspiration

My inspiration was to preserve the bridge as a part of history it was in the back drop of the film Madison about the annual boat race that occurs there.

Editing

There is no post processing

In my camera bag

I now xarry in my bag a Canon 60D, speed light, range of len's 5 batteries etc.

Feedback

When taking a photo at night be patient, watch for stray light around you and the subject. I was on the deck of a motel and had to watch the light from the cars pulling in the parking lot shinning across the water.
