Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world. Known as "Fin del Mundo" or "End of the World" it is located on the shores of the Beagle Channel, at the southern tip of Tierra del Fuego Island, and surrounded by the Martial Mounts. This photo, looking north, shows us leaving the harbour before the storm sets in and heading west for the Beagle Channel. Fortunately the view across to the west to the Beagle Channel looks clear. This was the harbour from where Ernest Shackelton left in Endurance in 1914 for his famous Antarctic Expedition.
