Location
This photograph was taken in 2002 on 35mm film, my nephew came to Arizona from Washington state to visit. He wanted to see some critters, so Uncle Dave and Marc went out in the backyard and found this gecko under a flower pot. We put it in an old mason jar so he could inspect it closer, he held up the jar to look at the belly of this beautiful creature... I saw an opportunity, stuck the lens of my camera in the mouth of the jar and snapped the pic. Two months later when I had the roll developed, I was very surprised to see this image. It is a family favorite.Time
Taken during the day in the middle of a hot Arizona summer. These geckos are nocturnal and come out at night. 100s of them gather on the porch screen under the bug light to feed on moths... they are fascinating to watch.Lighting
Just plain Arizona sunshine... and plenty of it.Equipment
Sigma 35mm SLR. 55mm lens.Inspiration
