The D-day beach of Arromanches les Bains is sandwiched between the green fields and the white chalk cliffs. A peaceful sight with the quiet village behind it. On that same beach and in the water off the coast, where the Allies landed on June 6, 1944, the traces of the Second World War are still visible.
