The Amsterdam was an 18th-century cargo ship of the Dutch East India Company (Dutch: Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie; VOC). The VOC was established in 1602. The ship started its maiden voyage from Texel to Batavia on 8 January 1749, but was wrecked in a storm on the English Channel on 26 January 1749. The shipwreck was discovered in 1969 in the bay of Bulverhythe, near Hastings on the English south coast, and is sometimes visible during low tides. The wreck site is protected under the Protection of Wrecks Act since 1974. This perfect replica forms part of the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam.

Even more amazing is that the construction of this replica took almost 3 years, while the original, back then, was made in less than a half year!

Yes it is, especially if you consider that in the past they built ships like this in a half year.
