Great composition on this mate, and perfect direction with the smoke. What camera lens combo did you use?

Location
Liverpool, UK. I was attending a portrait photography event with a few people I had met on the photography scene and to finish the day we did some smoke grenades!Time
This was mid-afternoon, and being Britain of course it was gray and has just started to rain.Lighting
The lighting here is all natural, thankfully I think the miserable weather helped give a soft light without too many harsh shadows and contrast.Equipment
Canon 6D Mkii and a 50mm Prime, nothing else!Inspiration
The lads who run the event which I attended are big into urban portraiture and art of that means using smoke grenades! The costume obviously sets the subject well.Editing
Yes, but not much! All I did was contrast, sharpening and saturation. The smoke grenades are coloured and the contrast/tone adjustments really help bring out the amazing patterns in the smoke. In my camera bag
Too much! Tripod, Sony A7iv, 20mm prime, 24-70 f2.8 and a 100-400. I mostly shoot landscape photograpghy so this suffices for most situations. If I know I'm going to be out at night, I'll also pack my star tracker for astro photography.Feedback
If you want to try smoke grenade photography, settings wise you want to make sure you have a fast shutter speed to capture the texture in the smoke. Then for the subject, slow smooth movements and walk forward so that they don't become completely enveloped!
