Location
I took the photo in my studio. I run it with two friends near Hallein.Time
This is from a series of portraits I did for a musical group. The model is actually a singer. He was one of the last performers and it was already 10 pm over.Lighting
This is a setup with 4 flash heads. One is behind the model and aimed at the background. To the left and right is a striplight and in front a large octabox diagonally above him.Equipment
An Eos R5 with a Canon RF 70-200 f2.8 L was used for the photo. I use a Foba Asaba T as a camera tripod in the studio. The flashes are Bowens 500pro and 1000Pro. on Manfrotto booms and roller tripods.Inspiration
I had a request from a musical group to do portraits. I wanted the people in their stage outfits of the show they were doing and the theme was Adams Family. So it was clear to me that I would also adapt the lighting set-up to the respective type.Editing
In post-processing I only adjusted the gradations. The vignette that was already there due to the flash on the background was intensified and the hair was processed in Photoshop using Doge and Burn as well as frequency separation. Finally, I reduced the saturation a little. In my camera bag
Most timer i use a Canon EOS R5 and a EOS R 6 My Lenses are RF 16-35 2,8 L; RF 34-70 2,8 L; RF 70-200 2,8 L; RF 85 1,2 L As Light most time i use two Profoto B10Feedback
As a tip for such portraits, I can only give you a look at the old films and pictures that are often available. There, the characters of very beautiful visible and you get an idea how you can put your own style on it.
