Location
This photo was taken in Brisbane, Queensland , Australia in the suburb of Southbank.Time
The time of day is, just after it became fully dark.Lighting
It was very dark but the "Wheel of Brisbane" and the immediate area around it was lit up nicely and made a decent picture. I took the picture with the flash set to off.Equipment
The camera was a Pentax Optio RZ18 . Which has a decent built in zoom. I didn't use any other equipment for this picture and had the flash set to off.Inspiration
We were on an evening stroll, down town, and the opportunity presented it's self.Editing
I adjusted the clarity slightly and that's about it.In my camera bag
I normally have my camera in the smallest bag possible, that I can comfortably get it in and out of and keep an extra battery on board. On occasion I will have a small foldable tripod and a couple of filters. I like to also enjoy my walks and not lug around too much equipment.Feedback
I now have a camera with manual settings and try to use them most of the time. I try to get my settings right fist, then with pictures at night, where the object is well lit, I turn off my flash and take a couple pictures and then slightly adjust the settings to darker and lighter. I usually end up with something not too bad, when I do that. I try to pay attention to if it was on the darker or lighter settings, when I get to view the picture on a full screen, so I can decide better in the future what settings to have the camera set at. I'm still getting the hang of the settings. Sorry, I don't know all of the lingo. So, I hope that this is understandable, to at least all the novices, like me.
