I use one strobe with a long, rectangle, baffled softbox and set a reflector opposite the softboxEquipment
I was shooting this session with a Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon 70-200mm f4Inspiration
I love shooting chiffon! I have my models dance with it, throw it around, drape themselves in it... this particular part of the session I was looking for a really quiet, ethereal look.Editing
I have a post-process workflow that includes Lightroom and Photoshop. I have presets, but I seldom use them and tend to adjust slightly different for each shot as it's called for.In my camera bag
Well, I just replaced my camera and most of my glass. I was holding out for a better model of the Canon 5D but last week my Mark II took a dive out of the 70-200 lens mount and destroyed the body. Luckily the Canon 70-200 f4 had a hood attached and the hood took the shock leaving the lens intact. So, I found a used Canon 5D Mark IV and then bought a Canon 100mm Macro, a Canon 70-200 f2.4 and a canon 24-70 f2.8.Feedback
Chiffon is really forgiving to shoot, have the model go through a number of poses... I usually crank a good dance tune and let them move as they will. It's supposed to be fun right? Oh, and in preparation, melt or hem the edges of the chiffon or you are going to be doing a lot of clean up as well as post-process a bunch of frayed edges
