Location
I am an artist that paints primarily in dry pastels. Most of the still life compositions I put together are done with reference photos for painting. Well, it started that way... now I compose my stills for other artist's inspiration also. I really enjoy seeing another artist "get" my vision!Time
Studio shot so the time of day is a bit irrelevant.Lighting
My lighting technique is evolving as I add new strobes and softboxes to my studio. I will shift my lights around until I have enough drama in the shadows.Equipment
I shoot Canon with mostly Canon glass. Most of my stills I shoot with Canon's 17-40mm. I don't mind a bit of wide-angle distortion in my stills... it adds to the drama imo.Inspiration
