Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while I was commuting in the new subway stations in Sao Paulo. It was empty, the light was awesome, so I took the shot.

Time

The shot was taken mid-afternoon, it was a hot Thursday afternoon as far as I remembered but the a/c system works pretty well. :)

Lighting

I wanted to capture the essence of our city, so to speak. The public transportation is what drives SP in this insane routine, but we hardly ever ackowledge there is beauty in it.

Equipment

This show was taken with my mobile phone, the Xiaomi 3.

Inspiration

I just love commuting..really. I do not drive and I love how everything makes us connceted somewhat. I just wanted to show the despite the connections we may lose sight of the beauty of sharing.

Editing

I often use lightroom and Photoshop edition. For this shot I first used lightroom to correct its brightness, then I used one of Photoshop presets to highlight the air tubes and its redness, also because black, white and red are the colours from Sao Paulo state flag.

In my camera bag

My mobile phone and depending on the distance I am travelling across the city I either carry my Canon power shot or the Canon T6 with a tripod.
